T-Nuts

The T-nut is a type of fastener specially designed for use with T-slots. Its name comes from its shape - when viewed from the side, it resembles a capital letter "T". Its working principle is very simple: Slide the head of the T-nut (the T-shaped part) from the side into the slot of an aluminum profile or other base with a T-shaped groove, and then rotate it 90 degrees (sometimes no rotation is needed, just slide it directly), so that the head is clamped below the slot. At this point, when the bolt is screwed into the threaded hole of the T-nut, the tensile force generated by the bolt will force the head of the T-nut to tightly press against the back of the T-slot, thus forming a very strong connection.
